Guyana is currently one of the fastest growing economies in the world. This is largely due growth in the oil and gas sector and its ripple effects. Record oil and gas discoveries and production since 2019 resulted in the economy growing by unprecedented rates, with the IMF forecasting 37.2% (2023) and 45.3% (2024).
Guyana’s landscape continues to evolve rapidly. These include developments in infrastructure and construction-based projects, the Gas-to-Energy project taking form, growth in supporting sectors including health, agriculture and manufacturing. With this growth comes increased opportunities for the business sector. The Centre has been working with businesses to ensure that systems are in place for them to be able to benefit from these opportunities.
As Guyana continues to prosper, the Centre looks forward to working closely with all businesses on this journey of success.
