Guyana means “land of many waters” in one of the native languages. A very apt name, indeed, for a country with so many rivers. However, I suggest an addition: “Guyana, Country of many Opportunities”.
It is an exciting time to do business in Guyana. With a focus on quality and sustainability, European companies can undeniably add value to Guyana’s prosperity.
European quality standards and business ethics are based on the fundamental values of the European Union, many of which have become worldwide benchmarks. With almost 500 million affluent consumers, the EU is the world’s third biggest single market, and home of world leading research institutes. The partnership between Guyana and the EU started over 50 ago, and I see a bright future for it.
